Schwarzburger workshops for porcelain art Founded in 1909 by Max Adolf Pfeiffer as an art department of the Unterweissbacher workshops for porcelain art. Pfeiffer left Unterweissbach in April 1913 and moved to Meißen in anticipation of greater opportunities. In the mid-twenties, the "workshops", along with their models and shapes, relocated to Volkstedt, which was temporarily united with Unterweissbach. Under the direction of Dr. Edmund Tröster was further expanded the program. There are now figures by the sculptors Mauritius Pfeiffer, Dorothea Charol, Claire Volkhardt; still on offer from Otto Thiem, Martha Schlameus, Paul Scheurich, Etha Richter, Wilhelm Neuhäuser and also models from local artists such as Gustav Oppel, Arthur Storch or Hugo Meisel. The brand of the workshops, the embossed lacing fox is used from the beginning. The art series of the "Schwarzburger Workshops for Porcelain Art" will be continued with modern artists such as Kati Zorn, Walter Kirchner, Peter Strang, etc.
